Rika wins recognition for its Swindon & Wiltshire LEP project

The Swindon & Wiltshire LEP project has won its first recognition by achieving an Excellence Award from Progress. 

The Award recognises outstanding digital products for their excellence in user experience and their innovation in applying Sitefinity features and capabilities. Rika's consultants were commissioned by the joint councils of Wiltshire and Swindon Borough to develop strategic recommendations that would bring increased effectiveness, efficiency and scale to specific Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) projects as well as bringing together a number of pre-existing digital touch-points.

The scope of the project included the LEP's digital estate, the Swindon & Wiltshire Growth Hub (a Business Support portal) and Higher Futures (a Skills Support service).

In March 2018, The Growth Hub portal was used by Wiltshire Council and Gov.uk to be the main delivery mechanism for business communications in relation to the devastating 'Salisbury Nerve Agent' accident. The platform was used to distribute information articles, news updates and facilitate funding support applications for affected businesses, which suffered as much as 90% loss of revenue during the weeks and months following the events.
