The Summer Digital Summit
This July saw our first-ever Summer Summit - an event hosted by our partners Etch, featuring talks from digital industry professionals. More than 60 people joined us for the day, including attendees from Google, IBM, Progress, Carnival UK, Old Mutual Wealth and many more.
The event was a great end to the week and an excuse to get together, listen to a series of inspirational talks and have a drink and a bite. We had a diverse line up of speakers, with talks ranging from the entertaining to the practical.
Paul Davies, Design Psychologist at Etch, explored "Five zombie theories of the brain" and how being smartly sceptical, rather than believing these myths, will help us create better communications.
Strategy consultants, James & Kristina from RIKA, explained the value of personalisation and proposed a step by step process that marketers can use to implement this in their own organisation.
You can download their presentation slides for The Segment of One here.
Adam Burt, Developer at Etch shared a look at the exciting new technologies and trends that are changing our world and where marketers could look for inspiration.
Tara West, Head of PPC at Etch, covered actionable PPC tips to get the most from ad spend and help elevate the use of PPC to the next level.
The event concluded with a panel discussion on the future of digital, giving the audience the chance to ask questions and debate topics such as blockchain, personalisation, data privacy and many more.
